Camp for Oppositional Architecture

Registration
To participate in the internal part, where all the participants are expected to contribute to the conference, please send a paper* explaining your own work and interest related to the topics of the congress. All accepted abstracts will be put on this site. After registration is over, every participant will receive a copy of all abstracts as well as further information on the working groups. The abstracts will be presented to the audience in the camp site.

Papers
To inform the public and the participants we ask you to send following material:
- A short description of your work/project and a vita (max. 1.500 characters, rtf-format)
- A statement of interest in "oppositional architecture".(max. 1.500 characters, rtf-format)
- A picture representing your interest/work/ideas/questions (jpeg format, 1024/768 pixel)

 Camp Language is English.

Working Groups
According to the incoming proposals, the working groups will be organized. The topical working groups we would like to propose are:
1. Oppositional Social Engagement
How can we grasp and relate to contemporary social reality?
2. Oppositional Design Concepts
How can we imagine and design critical forms and architecture?
3. Oppositional Strategies of Interventions
How can we reflect on and intervene in the built environment?

Free of charge
The Camp is free of charge. All participants will have free board. Unfortunately we cannot pay any travel expenses. If you have difficulties to finance your journey to Berlin, please contact us and we will help to find some sponsoring.

Accomodation
The Camp will take place in a former production and administration facility in Berlin Wedding (Gottschedstr. 4, 13357 Berlin). Besides a hall forthe public events there will be smaller spaces for workshops, an office and a 24 h bar. In the courtyard there will be a kitchen. In a 500 sqm indoor camp on the same site we will provide free accommodation for all participants. You can choose between different milieus (lawn, tents, youth hostel sector, carribean or south-german-style) on a structured platform.
